ALL THE THINGS

WHAT

is colon hydrotherapy?

Simply put, colon hydrotherapy is the gentle purified water-washing of the last five feet of the digestive tract known as the large intestine or colon using FDA-approved equipment.

At All’s Well That Ends Well, we use what we think of as the safest and most comfortable equipment on the market: The LIBBE (The Lower Intestine Bottom Bowel Evacuation System).

The LIBBE is designed with your comfort in mind.  It uses a small, disposable rectal tube which you insert yourself. The temperature and flow of the water is easily regulated. There is no odor and you are covered at all times.  You can choose to have a colon hydrotherapist in the room with you to support your eliminations OR you can have your session in solitude.

Sessions last about an hour although plan on being here for an hour and a half for your first session to include a consultation.

WHY

do people have colonics?

People choose to have colonics to detoxify their bodies; to prevent disease; to increase energy and well-being; to address specific digestive issues such as gas, bloating, and constipation; to diminish food cravings; to aid in the clearing of parasitic infection, heavy metals, and candida; to support nutritional changes and cleanses.

There are also many conditions which lead people to have colon hydrotherapy sessions.  They are as follows: constipation, low energy, indigestion, gas, bloating, diarrhea, insomnia, fatigue, allergies, asthma, bad breath, toxic smelling body odor, foul-smelling compacted stool, a distended abdomen, headaches, lower back pain, food cravings, candida, parasitic infection, fever, immune deficiencies, skin problems, dark circles under the eyes, hemorrhoids, heavy metal toxicity, and more.

WHEN

& HOW OFTEN

do people have colonics?

If it is your first time having a colonic, we strongly recommend considering what we call a “Back2Back.” Clients report feeling better when they have two sessions in a row when first starting a detox journey.  Most clients eliminate as much (if not more) on day #2 leading us colon hydrotherapists to believe that colonic #1 helps loosen up toxins that don’t always come out til the second day. The International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) recommends having 2 sets of “back-to-back” sessions two weeks in a row. And we couldn’t agree more!

HOW MANY sessions to have depends on what you are going for.  Perhaps you are constipated and want to use the colonics to turn around your cycle of incomplete eliminations.  Several colonics in a short period of time might be the answer for you.  Or perhaps you want to augment a fast or nutritional program so want to have one colonic per week in the midst of your cleanse.  Or maybe you have no idea.  There are many ways to use colonics to your benefit.  Most clients have a sense of whether colonics are an ideal modality for them after their first set of back-to-back sessions.  Trust your intuition or talk to your colon hydrotherapist and they will help you devise a program that is ideal for you.

HOW

does it work?

YOUR POSITION:

  • You undress from waist down

  • lie on your back, flat or propped up on a pillow with a small tube inserted into your rectum (lubricant is provided to assist in a care-free insertion)

  • a towel &/or blanket covers your exposed body

YOUR JOB:

  • allow yourself to fill with water until you have a bowel-movement like urge to push

  • when you feel the urge to push or simply feel too full, expel the water & fecal matter

  • (the same way you do on a toilet, except that you are on The LIBBE)

  •  you have up to an hour on the equipment

  • baby wipes, paper towels, and water are provided for you to clean yourself up after your session

EQUIPMENT:

  • gravity-fed, temperature-controlled, filtered water flows into your body through the rectal tube, which is about the size of a pencil

  • The tube is designed brilliantly to stay in for the entire session, even if you have large eliminations

  •  your eliminations move around the small tube and get flushed to the sewer

If it is your first time having a colonic, we strongly recommend considering what we call a “Back2Back,” which is having a colonic two days in a row. Clients are often shocked by how much is released on day two, after having been softened up on day 1.

Your First Time!

At All’s Well That Ends Well, we honor that having a colonic can be a unique and new experience. Our goal is to provide you with a positive, safe, and professional session. Expect to be respected for wherever you are in your journey towards health and wellness.

Your first colon hydrotherapy session begins with a one-on-one consultation where we hear about you and what has inspired you to have a session.  Next, we briefly cover the theory of colonics and then walk you through the ins and outs of how the equipment works.

Post instruction, we leave the room so that you can insert the very small, sterile, disposable tube in private; lubricant is provided.  The tube is connected to the table and only has to be inserted about 1-2 inches into the rectum.  Most clients find it easy to insert, and we are also more than happy to guide you should you need assistance.

  • No! Absolutely not! That being said, it is not like a massage: You will not be lying back passively relaxing. Having a colon hydrotherapy session is more like working out at the gym. You will actively be taking in warm water and eliminating…the same way you do when you go to the bathroom on a toilet. The worst of how any session feels is that you might experience cramps, nausea, or that sensation you get when you have diarrhea. 90%of the time people are chatting to us in the midst of their session without any side effects

  • No! The system is designed in such a brilliant way that channels the air out of the building. Nothing stinky at all!

  • No! Most people are able to get all of the water out of them before they get off of the equipment. We recommend sticking around the office for a few minutes if you are concerned, although it is rare to keep eliminating post session.
